PTFE -polytetrafluoroethylene-
PTFE -polytetrafluoroethylene-
Code: PTFE--POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE-
The chemical properties are excellent, acids, alcohols and solvents do not attack. It is an excellent insulating material and electrical and dielectric properties are particularly favourable. It has a very low coefficient of friction both dynamic and static moisture absorption is almost nil. It deforms when put under load, but it resumes the form itself, removing the load, if raised the temperature to 300° c. It is also found in various types of loads (fiberglass, graphite, bronze, stainless steel) which obviously modify some properties.
