Accessibility and EAA Compliance
Information on the accessibility of Sargom's online service and measures adopted in relation to Directive (EU) 2019/882. Last updated: September 2026.
Scope
This page describes measures applied to public website pages, catalogue, product pages, registration, login, cart, search and main CMS content.
Technical target
The website is configured with the goal of making functions perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, using WCAG 2.2 level AA and the functional requirements referenced by European accessibility rules for digital services as operational references.
Measures adopted
- Semantic HTML structure with main areas, coherent headings and descriptive links.
- Skip-to-content link and visible focus states for keyboard navigation.
- Improved contrast across footer, secondary text, forms, buttons and messages.
- Explicit labels for forms, search, login, registration, cart and product pages.
- Validation messages displayed at the appropriate time, without blocking users while filling in forms.
- Cookie consent with prior consent for GA4, a necessary-only option and withdrawal from the footer.
- Support for reduced motion preferences and improved compatibility with assistive technologies.
- Technical checks with automated scans on main pages and purchase flows.
Known limitations
Some legacy CMS content, PDF documents, product images and third-party supplier content may require further manual checks or progressive updates. Third-party components, such as anti-spam or payment tools, are also subject to their provider's accessibility characteristics.
